Well, yesterday was MLK Day, today my Dad’s coming down to visit (he’s here on business, but has the afternoon off), and tomorrow I leave for Indiana and Winter Fantasy!

Good Weekend, Bad Monday
Okay, not really a bad Monday, but not a great one either.
The weekend was still pretty good though… Friday we went and baby-sat Meghan for Gray and Fancy so they could have a night out on the town. I really enjoy staying with Meghan though, she’s absolutely adorable and really, one of the best babies I think I’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with. She’s never very fussy, she’s always playful and intelligent. I mean you can see her thinking, it’s really amazing.
Biting My Tongue
I really want to write some thoughts up here right now, but I don’t want to upset Heather with my present thoughts, so I”ll just let you know that I’m doing a lot of angry thinking this morning.
Happy Y2K3
Well Sheeeeeeeeit… looks like I’ve been slacking on the updates… sorry about that. I know that this is such a popular blog I have people beating down my virtual door to get updates. I know, my life is just that interesting.
YAAAAAAWN
Well, I don’t know why but all of a sudden I’m extremely tired. I could totally fall asleep here in my chair. I’ve gotten the main thing I wanted done today and now it’s lazeabout time. Tomorrow I will have another priority task set up for myself. That’s all this week is, is making sure to have everything ready to go for the week after break.
Say Hello to the Grill King!
I grilled a turkey last night… and it was good!
I like to grill, I like to cook food over an open fire (well, a contained fire at least), I like the smell of the smoke and the glow of the red hot embers. I’ve only every had one or two instances where the food I cooked didn’t turn out very good. I just have to think that I either have a natural affinity for cooking or I’m just damn lucky.
I appologize…
…To everyone who reads this that I personally interact with on a regular basis – for being a bit grumpy and moody lately. I don’t really know what it is, but I’ve just been a bit down lately. Unfortunately this means that I react poorly to certain situations and have a tendency to lash out at people with little provocation. I am sorry for this, I feel like there’s something missing from my life right now and I haven’t found what it is yet. As a result, I spend most every day waiting for whatever is missing to present itself, and whenever something doesn’t go the way I’d like, or I don’t get quite what I want, I get just a bit more depressed and moody (this occurs most when I’m eating dinner and it’s not something I wanted).
It’s Cooooooooold out there
Well, it seems the cold weather has finally come. I’ve actually wanted and needed my coat the last couple days outside. It’s refreshing for someone like me who misses the cold weather. We’ve been building more fires lately too, not that they’ve been really impressive yet (except the one I did on Tuesday while we were trimming the tree, that one was pretty good). At the very least they’ve been better than the ones I did on Halloween and before.
ARGH
Too frustrated to explain my rage, just accept the fact that my heart is racing in anger and I’m holding my tongue so tightly it feels that it may bleed!
Turkey Day has Come and Gone
Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone and all in all I had a good one. We took the dog and headed up to My Grandparents’ house in West Memphis AR. For the first time since Heather and I have been going to Thanksgiving there, Heather got a hotel room so we wouldn’t have to sleep on the living room floor. Actually, the two of us,
my brother and
his wife all shared a room (with the dog).
