Well, yesterday was MLK Day, today my Dad’s coming down to visit (he’s here on business, but has the afternoon off), and tomorrow I leave for Indiana and Winter Fantasy!
I’m trying not to start any big projects because my dad could call any minute. I had a good weekend. First off, it was three days. I got some time to relax, I got a game in, I watched some movies, and I worked on my room. I hadn’t really done much with my room in a while, but I painted a mini for Winter Fantasy this weekend and realy enjoyed myself. As a result, I would like to continute painting mini’s which means I need a space to do so. That means I needed to clean up a spot in my room. In order to do that I needed to organize my room. It was a vicious snowball of activity. In the end, I ended up buying a sewing table (yeah, it has nothing to do with mini’s but it’s something that’s been on my mind anyway) and rearranging a lot of furniture in the room. I now have a lot more space, the space is more useful, and I have places to put things (I also bought a set of rolling drawers for all those things that would normally go in a desk, but my desk has no drawers).
All in all it was a very productive weekend. Like I said, tomorrow I head off to Indiana for Winter Fantasy. I leave just after noon tomorrow and will be in Indiana until Sunday. I always enjoy Winter Fantasy, it’s the only convention I go to, but I have a really good time and get a lot of gaming done while I’m there. I know that convention gaming can barely be compared to a home campaign, but I really enjoy the experience. This will be my third year! I’ll try to write down some thoughts on the convention while I’m there and post them here when I get back!
Have a great week and an even better weekend!
