I can’t say that I make more than my bills cost me, we’re in a pretty even ballancing act these days, but I can see the load lightening. We both got raises and seem to be cutting back debt a bit. Also, I cannot stress how cost effective a simple programable thermostat is!

Well, I haven’t written in a few days and I feel bad about that. Work has been crazy busy off and on, plus I’ve been working my butt off getting this party ready for tomorrow (I’d post the invitation here but I know that all four of you who read this have already seen it). We’ve been doing all kinds of cool things that should only be done by elementary school kids (for good reason) and if not for the excellent end product, will never attempt again. The “Dia De Los Muertos” skulls we did look awesome, but the were a heck of a lot of work. Paper Maché should only be done by people who eat paste by nature, it’s all part of the same mindset, and ever since I started using paste as a make up effect instead of a snack, I’ve been in the right by not doing any paper maché.
Back to Work!
Well, I’m back at work. I’m feeling much better now, my cold is pretty much only in my ears.
We’re inplementing new security systems on the PCs in the lab to combat the hackers. Unfortunately we have to down most of the lab so I have faculty who are unaware of the hacking at all coming in a complaining that the lab is pretty much inoperable on the PC side. We’re doing everything we can to get it all up by the end of the day. Maybe I should work through lunch.
Blockbuster is BUSTED
100 characters? Thats it? They expect me to make a well thought out and argumentative comment in 100 characters? Who are these people?
I may be switching back to Hastings VERY SOON! They have a smaller selection and may be more out of the way, but the prices are better and they carry WIDESCREEN!
ahhCHOOOO
I’ve been fighting a cold for the last couple days. I never really get that sick, but yesterday I was feeling bad enough I decided I needed to take a day off. Sheesh, I’m either really sick or really sick of work.
End of the Day
Well, the day’s over, I feel like I’m starting to make progress on the whole hacking issue. It definitely feels like a progress of three steps forward, two steps back, but that’s still progress, isn’t it?
Last night was the first actual game night for my new Bebop game. I feel that it went really well, I don’t know how the players felt, but I think it carried the feel and motiff of the show well. I think the group will mesh well in time, though last night was a little stiff. Most people are still trying to get into their characters, but I like the interaction I’ve seen so far. I’m really excited about the game now, I almost wish it was weekly instead of every other week. Maybe if I ran on Fridays or something. I’ll noodle the idea and see what comes up.
Rain.
“His name is Henry, Clay Henry
Spent his life eating burgers and fries,
Now he’s down to a smaller size.
He’s Henry, Clay Henry!”
Ugh, Will it NEVER END?
Six more machines hacked today. We’re going to up our security, you hear that you malicious bastards? We’re password protecting our machines, get the fuck out of my virtual world.
Anyway, other than work, things are going pretty good, and really, hackers aside, work isn’t so bad either. I’m doing my best to log my work… (crap, BRB)…
“Big Trouble”
Oh yeah, and if you are relatively recovered from the 9/11 tragedy and can safely laugh at airport security and inept hijackers, then go see “Big Trouble.” It’s quite possibly one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a long time. But it is obvious why this movie did not release last October as expected.
