I’ve been fighting a cold for the last couple days. I never really get that sick, but yesterday I was feeling bad enough I decided I needed to take a day off. Sheesh, I’m either really sick or really sick of work.
Today I’m taking the morning off so that I can be in the best condition for a lecture I’m giving to a class tonight. It’s the second time I’ve done this, hopefully it will go at least as well as the first time. If not, I’m blaming it on the cold. 😉
My body aches and my throat is sore. I’m going to take some cold medication an hour before I go to work and an hour before the lecture. Hopefully that will counteract at least some of these symptoms. I think I’m about done with it, but then again, I didn’t think I was going to get it in the first place.
Not much has been going on otherwise. I’ve been doing a lot of sleeping, that’s pretty much it. We watched Brotherhood of the Wolf last night, it was longer and more involved than I expected. Those crazy French! It was really good though, maybe not “Like it? Buy it for $9.99” but still pretty good. We still have 40 Days and 40 Nights to watch… Neither movie was really what I was intending to get. I saw that they had Insomnia and Mr. Deeds so that’s what I was going for, but Blockbuster, in it’s infinite wisdom, has decided to only carry the full screen versions of these films. So there were about 100 copies of the Pan & Scan version because apparently “Full screen viewers are louder.” No shit they’re louder, the only people who want full screen pan & scan movies are slack jawed, bottom feeding, uneducated hicks. And we all know from Rosanne that trailer trash are always louder!
Anyway, now I need to hike my way over to Blockbuster.com and see if I can talk some sense into the corporate muttonheads that seem to thing if one group of people yell louder, that means you should completely ignore all the other people who might just be dumping money into your store. Care to join me?

Is this the “How to use the Internet to get your artwork seen” lecture? You did pretty good with that first one. Had your s**t together. Cold or no, you’ll do fine.
