I really have to stop going to 7/11 every day. It’s killing me literally and financially. I spend about $2-$4 each time I go, and I get junk. I don’t need a snack, a drink is nice but I have a case of bottled water here in the office. Getting out of the office is nice, but it’s not necesary. I really need to stop going. I stared at a bag of sour cream and onion Ruffles for like a minute and a half trying to tell myself not to get them.
I hate paying bills… They make me feel grown up, but poor.
I did my first classroom orientation for the semester. God I hate doing them. If they didn’t seem to have such a profound effect on the rest of the semester, then I’d be morally opposed to them. The students seem to take at least a marginal ammount of information away from them and thus seem to be happier in the lab. I flubbed this one up royally though, I totally wasn’t prepared and need to update some of my dialogues. I feel like I floundered thought it, but a couple people in there were smiling and laughing at my “jokes” so it made it a bit better. I still felt more self concious than normal. I mean I was tap dancing from foot to foot the whole time. I hate that.
I hate that I don’t wirte entries as often as I’d like. I kick myself every morning when I haven’t updated.
I’ve been up to a lot of the same lately. Work work work work work. Game, game, game. Let’s see what’s changed lately:
Had a pretty good weekend. Looks like I might get really good at a weekly update but I’m beginning to doubt my ability to post more often than that.
It’s probably that I had nachos for lunch twice this week and a Turkish Pizza for dinner last night (it was practically meatloaf on a crust), but my stomach is up in arms about something. Just thought I’d let you know.
Well, I stayed home after lunch to clean up and get ready for the party. We would have three hours from the time we get home to the time people could start showing up, but I still thought it a good idea to get a bit of a head start.
I can’t say that I make more than my bills cost me, we’re in a pretty even ballancing act these days, but I can see the load lightening. We both got raises and seem to be cutting back debt a bit. Also, I cannot stress how cost effective a simple programable thermostat is!
Six more machines hacked today. We’re going to up our security, you hear that you malicious bastards? We’re password protecting our machines, get the fuck out of my virtual world.
Anyway, other than work, things are going pretty good, and really, hackers aside, work isn’t so bad either. I’m doing my best to log my work… (crap, BRB)…
