Well, I stayed home after lunch to clean up and get ready for the party. We would have three hours from the time we get home to the time people could start showing up, but I still thought it a good idea to get a bit of a head start.
We got three checks in the mail today as some sort of property tax refunds. Strangely enough all three are made out to us, but two of them are for years we didn’t even live in the house. Each check measures about $200-250 each. It’s a lot of money that we could really use, but it’s only kind of ours. Heather’s trying to contact the tax assessor to see what we’re supposed to do. Sure would be nice if we could keep it though. I might even think about fixing my car.
