So Squishy.

So, this morning I was actually able to sleep in really late. Ansel was fairly happy in his co-sleeper so with minimal fuss and a tiny bit of maintenance, Heather and I were both able to sleep through the night (well, me more than her as she had to feed him late last night and early this morning).

After feeling refreshed and renewed, I woke up to go into the living room, consider some breakfast and watch some TV. I was confronted, however, with the smell of dog shit. I, however, was pleased to find it in the entryway on the flagstone floor rather than a liquid mess in the carpet like I usually find it. I was actually proud of Knight for pooping on an easy to clean surface. I quickly grabbed some paper towels and some 409 and proceeded to clean it up. I needed an old towel to dry up the 409 and headed to the linen closet when, ssquisssh, I stepped in a second pile. This one was on the hardwood floor in the hallway. Again, I was pleased that this was on an easy to clean surface, but I’d sure rather not stepped in it to find it. So I hopped to the bathroom, washed off my foot, and proceeded to clean up the hardwood floor. Still proud of Knight, I pass through the living room to the kitchen to get more cleaning supplies and then my pride drops when I see a giant turd on the couch. I’m not sure if I’m more disappointed in the fact that he pooped on the couch, or that I now have proof that he’s still sleeping on the couch at night.

Anyway, I finish cleaning up the hallway and get new cleaning supplies to clean up the couch when I finally find the fourth pile. A small “whoops, I’m not done yet” pile on the floor next to the couch. I’m already hand and foot in poop so it doesn’t even phase me. I guess I have no point to my story, I just wanted to chronicle the rise and fall of my elation and pride this morning. Hope your morning involved less dog poop.

That’s my spot, Jackass!
I pay exorbitant amounts of money to get a reserved spot and this dill hole thinks he can put his P.O.S. Ford Taurus in it.

Next time I don’t call the cops, I just get the Sledg-O-Matic.

I’ve decided I’m sick of online shopping. I used to love it because you could find anything online, especially things you couldn’t find in stores. But now I’ve just gotten tired of it. I find stuff online and it’ll be nice and affordable, and then they double the price with shipping (what the hell is up with charging $10 shipping for something I could ship for $3.75 at the post office?). Or other times I find exactly what I want, with decent shipping and place the order for them to immediately send me an email saying that its out of stock and will be a month before I get it. Even other times I buy it, I get it in due time, only to find out it’s not at all what I thought (because the pictures didn’t do them justice) or they’re broken. I’m just sick of online shopping, but now that every store has a .com I can’t even check things out at stores to see if its what I want, or if it is, to buy it without having to deal with shipping and delays.

All I want is a super thin case/skin, belt clip, and keychain loop for my iPod Shuffle. I’ve spent three days shopping online for one because I can’t find pictures that prove to me that what I’m looking at is what I want and when I do find it, to not double the price with shipping.

Gas and Carpooling

I’ve noticed a ton of messages on LJ communities lately all about how people want to carpool now because gas prices are rising. But what really grinds my gears is that we’ve been destroying the environment for years and years, but the only way people will even consider carpooling is if the cost of not hits them in the wallet.

I don’t necesarrily want the price of gas to keep rising, or even stay at the height that it currently is, but I hope that people learn how to carpool and maybe see a benefit beyond saving them a few measly dollars. This is the only planet we have and that hurricane is in part, a result of us clouding the skies and insulating the planet. Get used to it people, if it takes high gas prices for you to act environmental, then so be it.

So this free iPod Shuffle thing is getting annoying. I actually got three people to sign up, but only 1 person actually “went green” as the lingo goes. Only one persone completed their offer and verified that it was actually complete. I kept emailing the other two people, but one is completely unresponsive and the other apparently only checks his mail every three weeks. All you have to do, if you complete an offer, is wait 15 days and send the people a copy of the offer confirmation email. Is that so hard? I’ve done it twice now, and every offer I’ve ever done has gone green.

I finally got desperate and openened myself up for a fourth referral trade, which has gone green in less than 72 hours. So now I have four people signed up, and still only two referrals. This has gotten to be more work than just finding the $125 for the damn thing in the first place. Why won’t these people put for the effort, it takes like 15 minutes on a saturday afternoon to make sure all your offers are valid and accounted for. The guy who only reads his email every 3 weeks or so even said he would be checking his offers that evening… it had already been 17 days, he should be green by now and I should have my damn iPod.

Bollocks.

It appears as though I’ve got a kind of theme going on here with my posts, so I thoughtI should atually type somthing to interrupt it.

I’ll be talking about various subjects in this post, so lets color code them, shall we? I’ll be ranting about UNT, Discussing World of Warcraft, and Highlighting this week’s movie night

I really am miffed about the loss of yet another tree around the Art Building, now granted, this one was pretty beat up in a couple of storms recently, and was probably a safety risk, but still. They’ve cut down three trees in the past year and haven’t planted a single replacement. Keep Denton Beautifu really does give away two tress to every resident (while supplies last) every fall. After two years I’ve run out of places to put them in my yard (except, well, where I put the one that died this past season) and thought “why not play Johhny Appleseed” and put a couple trees around campus. I’m sure UNT would rip them out as fast as I put them in, but it might be worth it just to see what happens at least.

I finally got into another raid last night on WoW. Tavis and Bridgit invited me into a UBRS raid, and while the only things I need in UBRS are fantastically rare drops, I really wanted to go on a raid so I went. It stared out kind of shaky and Leroy-ish, but things got smoother once I got there. We did have enough deaths in the raid that I officially dubbed myself “Dr. Rez.” Tonight, Tarkas and I are planning a Scholomance 5-man. I hope we pull it off, I haven’t done Scholo in a while. I also want to do Strat again, but we’ll see.

This week, it turns out, we will be watching Clue. That’s CLUE, not National Treasure, not Army of Darkness, and not The Man Who Knew Too Little. Clue. That is all.

Another one gone…
I wish UNT would start planting trees and stop cutting them down.

I swear, next time the KDB society is giving away trees, I’m getting two and planting them around campus. Who’s with me?
