Well, it’s been a long time since I had a big entry, and even longer since I had a photo journal entry, so beware, this one’s pretty heavy. We did a lot this last week and now that I have a camera in my pocket almost constantly, it’s given me the opportunity to use it a lot more. Here you go folks, these are the photos from the last week and a half!

Well, everyone is gone. Julian never showed up but we guilted Nick into
coming out after all. It was nice to see him after a week. It was
especially nice to see Sean & Laura, I was very pleasantly surprised, much
like when I found out Amy decided to come. It ended up being a really good
party. I ate too much (damn you Jenn & Steve for bringing cake and
Bratwurst, and damn you Craig & Laura for bringing Panera), I drank too
much, but I had much fun! We played 3 games of Cranium (I think, I may have
lost count), I made an ass of myself, as usual (hiking up my shorts to do
my best Tina Turner impression). The food was great, as was the company, I’d
love to have another BBQ as successful as this one, hmm, for what occasion
though?

Such a good time, a very successful get-together all around!

Well, today’s the last day of Spring Break, so that means Drunken Barbeque! I got a few more things to do before the BBQ can start, and one of them is eat breakfast, damn I’m hungry. Then I gotta clean up the yard a little more, shit like that… oh, and try to enjoy the last day of break because tomorrow it’s back to work. I’ll probably update a little more once I get back into the office. Sorry it’s been so sparce lately.

I just got in from watching Dawn of the Dead and if that wasn’t the best horror movie I’ve ever seen, I don’t know what is. I mean 28 Days Later was damn good, but this one was completely different. They shouldn’t even be in the same genre. 28 Days Later is like “Survival Horror,” this was like “Ain’t No One No How Gonna Survival Horror!” Fuck, the cinematography was amazing, I mean this was a beautiful movie even without the zombies. It was so gorgeous to look at, and at the same time enthralling to watch. If there wasn’t so much blood, guts, violence and, well, horror, I’d make my wife watch it, but there’s no way she’d make it to the opening credits.

I just don’t know what to say about this movie. I don’t know that I’ve been so moved and so excited by a horror film before. It was classic and perfect. Not cheesy or campy like all those fucking slasher films. I’m so intrigued by this, I just don’t know how to react. God I wish I could translate these thoughts and emotions into words. If you have a tolerance for gore, then you should go see this movie. Damn, I mean, just Damn.
