“Bob (CEO of Five Rings Publishing) asked Peter (CEO of WOTC) if he would be willing to loan Five Rings Publishing a million dollars. Peter, thinking the question a joke, replied that there was nothing in the world that Five Rings could offer Wizards that would be worth a million dollars. Bob asked if Peter was near a fax machine and what the number was, and he sent over the cover letter of our option to buy TSR, which stated the background of the deal, but not the price or our terms.
“Peter called Bob back within ten minutes and asked if a company check would be acceptable.”

I saw laurenlall drop this on the ground and I picked it up after she walked away…

Tonight is the return of movie night at our house. This is to be a bi-weekly event, held every other Friday (or the first and third Friday, details are still being worked out). We have invited Sean and his wife, Laura, to “co-host” the event with suggestions, assistance, added libraries and additional Netflix queueing. Laura made the movie suggestion for our revivial – she wanted to see Pirates of the Caribbean again, so that’s the plan.

They (Sean and Laura) also suggested we extend the movie event to include a bit of a theme as well. So now, the chosen movie is to extend into the realm of food and drink. When we host the movie night, you are encouraged (though definitely not required) to bring food and drink that would go along with the movie. We’re not talking about going all out with decorations or costumes, just a little added something to add to the experience. Alcohol is allowed, though I to broke to provide any for anyone but me.

For those of you unfamiliar with our movie nights from the last stint, this is not some kind of movie club where we watch, critique and analyze the movie. We watch the movie, we have a good time, we talk through it, comment, laugh, have fun. Its an excuse to get together, we watch the movie for entertainment. This ain’t no Oprah. I know this is short notice, but we’d love to see you there.

Sorry I’ve been absent lately. I worked my ass off putting together the new lab this weekend (yes, I built it AGAIN – we finally got the furniture for it so it should be good for a while). In addition to that, last week Derek showed an amazing lack of my self control and bought me World of Warcraft (on an extended loan). I am to pay him back, but at no interest or pay schedule. I’ll probably pay him in April when I get my allowance back. So yeah, between working like a slave and killing ever motherfucker in Elwynn, I’ve been busy. I’m only writing this now because the servers are down. If you want to talk to me, you’re going to have to get on WoW, Silver Hand server, and talk to Aizen.
