500 words left… eyes starting to cross.

Why couldn’t I be an insomniac.

only 500 words left and I hate to tempt fate, but I think I’m back on a roll with my plot.

Wow, I’m in a bad way. I got home at 8:00 tonight and as much as I tried to start writing shortly after dinner, it’s now almost Midnight and I’ve barely gotten 400 words so far. I want to get my word count in tonight, but I have a job to do in my real world.

Ugh, I could never have anticipated this night. I’m sick to my stomach about it. Hopefully that’ll make for good writing.

I don’t plan this stuff, I just look up every now and then and see the poetic lines that walked their way out of my finger.

400 words until sleep…

My NaNoWriMo playlist… as it has grown to over the past three days.

What the hell is the point of fanfic? most if it is tripe… the rest is just homosexual erotica.

I don’t get it, and yet people are NaNo-ing it?

Well, I was supposed to have written all day today, but instead I screwed around, took the dogs for a walk, went shopping with my wife, went out to dinner, bought a PDA keyboard (so I could write of all things) and generally fucked off most of the day. Now it’s 11:00 and I’ve only gotten about 600 words down. Can’t say as I’m tired, but I’m beginning to think November is totally going to screw up my sleep. I didn’t think so at first, but as I get more and more lazy/unfocused, I’m beginning to think it’s going to cause problems.

I’m still really liking where the story is going and I’m looking forward to phase two which should be coming up shortly. I did a lot of thinking yesterday and got a lot of basic planning and preparation out of the way so I can write a little more fluidly. I’m more confident that I’m actually going to finish this, but I still have no guarantees. I am, however, still optomistic.

Anyway, back to the grind… or at least back to the internet to distract me some more. Post more you LJ MONKEYS!!!

oh, and BTW, I’m probably going to the NaNo Write-In tomorrow at Hastings… It’ll be the first meet-up I’ve ever gone to with the intent to actually meet people rather than just spy on them from a safe distance. I’ve got my PDA and my keyboard all ready.

This whole Electoral College thing is bugging the crap out of me… not so much the fact that we have one, but the fact that all but 2 (maybe soon to be three) states are “winner take all” so even when Florida (god damn Floridians) is split 52%/47% in favor of Bush, they Kerry doesn’t get a single Electoral Vote regardless of the fact that he has 47% of the people’s votes.

I think the Electoral college isn’t necesarily bad, but the winner take all thing is crap.

The Redskins have been right since 1936, they can’t be wrong now. It’ll all come out in the recount, I’m sure.
