Varia2 asked me why we’re here, what our purpose is, and I’m rather inspired by my own answer… (yeah, every now and then I impress myself and have to pat myself on my own back):
“I don’t have any, I really don’t know why any of us are here, I mean in the spanse of the universe, we’re so insignificant that we can only exist really to ask that question. Life is life, it is what it is… we’re really here for the same reason rocks, trees, stars, atoms and quarks are here… because we are. [I mean,] who says there has to be meaning… who says there has to be purpose… squirrels don’t look for purpose, grass doesn’t look for purpose, I think as humans we over analyze things. I’ve learned to accept that the universe is an amazing place and the mere fact that we do exist is pretty cool. I don’t think there has to be a reason… I think the mere fact that we’re here is almost a fluke and we should just appreciate being given the chance to exist. I think that’s why I’ve decided not to stress out about stuff as much recently.”
