Well, things are going pretty well right now. The movie night last night went better than expected. We had a fair number of people show up and had a good old time watching the movie. Most everyone was impressed by the movie in one way or another. Laura said “Oh… …Mygod!” more times than I even expected, and ErezethJeremy actually raised his hands in triumph in the middle declaring it the “Best Movie Ever.” Even VishvakarmanBen has put it close on par with Leprechaun 4: In Space which is a pretty high regard in his world. We hung out for a few hours after the movie, trying to decide what we were going to watch next time. I’m thinking we’re going to watch Emperor’s New Groove so that some people who were not willing to degrade themselves with Bad Taste, can participate. Now this doesn’t mean I’m going to keep the cinematic quality this high all the time, I’m probably going to keep the movies varried and rather unexpected. I’m even going to toy around with trying to rent stuff too so that we’re not limited to my movies only.

HeatherEJCHeather and I had a really good morning, she says her muscles are still not responding correctly. I take that as a compliment. 😉

After that we puttered around the house for a while. I gave the dog a bath and vaccuumed the living room. It was our first spin with the new vaccuum. Then after watching a little more TV and finally got out of the house. We dumped some furniture off at Goodwill (damnit, Craig, we forgot to give you guys a CD rack while you were here last night), sold some books at Recycled, and went to vote on the DCTA. We (Myself, ErezethJeremy, PCCloseChristy, and HeatherEJCHeather) are all in favor of it, so we made a special trip out to go vote. It was all of our first time to vote, so we didn’t know what to do or where to go. We’d seen a little sign at the City Hall, so we started there. Inside they informed us that our voting location was at a small church across town. The guy who told us that, also recognized the 12 sided die on my t-shirt and asked me if I played role playing games. This turned into a classic episode of gamers that give gamers a bad name. He was socially inept, wore a stained white shirt (tomato sauce it looked like), poorly groomed, and nearly drooled when I told him I was actively gaming. Oh well, we sent him to Talon and escaped as fast as we could.

Over at the church, when we finally got to the front of the line, Jeremy, Christy and I all got our ballots and started voting. Heather, however, was not on the books. While the three of us were voting, she learned that she was still registered at our old address. Her ballot was waiting for her… (wait for it) …at City Hall! Anyway, voting is open for another hour and I don’t have time to take her back to City Hall, so if she wants to vote, she can go back out on her own, she knows the procedure.

So now I’m about to head out to Corwin75Steve’s game. He’s been wanting more RP in his game as he’s been commenting in his journal. Ben want’s more RP, too and is frustrated that it isn’t as quality as some other games. I think the two of them need to sit down and hash out some RP ideas. I’d be willing to get in on that myself, since all my character background is a bad Sanford & Son joke.

Anyway, I’m off like a prom dress, everyone have a good weekend, and in two weeks I’ll be watching The Emporer’s New Groove, what will you be doing? (Ben, we’d really like to see you out for that even though I know you’re opposed to Disney Cartoons. I always think of you when I watch this movie anyway, the bad guy is evil, just like you!)
