Well, with all the new LJ features and such, I’ve been playing with the S2 style options. I’m not sure yet if I like the new look of the page. I can change it back to the way I had it, but I hink I’m going to try this on for a while. It’s like a new pair of shoes, until the get a little broken in, they’re stiff and uncomfortable. You have to force yourself to wear them so that they’ll actually get comfortable.
There are a lot of options available in this new S2 style system, but they’re pretty complex. They say to stay away unless you’re a programmer or a web designer. Well, I fancy myself a web designer, and it’s still looking like it’s a bit over my head. I’m going to have to look at it for longer and with a bit more seriousness.
I’m getting more and more envious of better bodies than I presently wear. I never had an overly toned and defined body, but I at least had fewer pockets of fat and could wear shirts that hugged me closer wihtout feeling like I was dressed inappropriately. I need to find a form of excersize that works for me. Apparently, as much as I actually enjoyed it, running didn’t work for me. I ate better and ran for almost three months straight. I’m not saying that I expected drastic changes durring that time, but I didn’t lose a single pound, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t because I was exchanging fat for muscle. I got pretty discouraged at it and quite. I haven’t tried to start up again since because it just seemed to not be working for me. I’d want to see at least a minimal change to believe that it was working. Heather keeps suggesting that I should try some form of strength training, but since we don’t really have any weights, and I don’t really know how to use a weight room, I’m a little hesitant to go to a gym to use theirs. I keep thinking of taking a phys. ed. class for weight training, but I think I’m starting to not quite look like your average college student taking gym classes. I still think about it, but I can’t seem to make myself do it. I keep looking at this page wondering if it has any merit to it. It may be something I can actually do, but I guess I won’t know unless I try it. If you know anything about weight training, can you tell me if this page looks like it would even have any benefit to someone who just wants to tone up a bit, maybe define some of the more visible muscle groups, overall just look better for his wife?
ah, only an hour left. w00t!

Go swimming. Works damn near every muscle group in your body and does it quickly and efficiently.
But then I’d be like Julian and Steve, taking swimming every semester.
Maybe I’ll have to check out some of the local pools and just teach myself to swim better.
