I wonder if I offended someone unintentionally with a comment in her journal. It was not my intent and I was really just trying to participate in an intelligent discussion. I was in the process of writing a new response and now the entry has had comments disabled. I liked what I wrote, so I am going to post it here for my own edification.
[everyone has personal opinions] and that’s what journal’s are for… its just that when its in a public forum, it can spark debate. again, I just want to make you confident in understanding that I do not argue your opinion. I commend you for it!
it [season two of Heroes] was definitely rushed. I just confirmed that it was only 11 episodes as opposed to season 1’s 23 episodes. I also felt that the Adam/Hiro storyline went on a bit too long, but had it been included in a overall plot that was twice as long, it may have balanced out a bit better. It probably wasn’t supposed to take up half of the season.
so as a result, the first half of the season was probably a bit long in the tooth, while the second half was trying to tie up the threads it was starting in the first half.
as for going on hiatus, I don’t know how the debate went at NBC studios, but I read that over at the LOST studios, the creators would rather put the whole season off rather than put out a weak product, but the executives are pushing to release what they’ve got regardless of completion. its entirely possible that the same argument went on over at the Heroes lot, and the executives (the people with the funding) won.
regardless, the WGA strike is starting to hit hard. I know its really not that important, its not world peace or something, but my TV is definitely going to shit.

Hiya.
You didn’t offend. No one really offended. I just didn’t want it to turn into another Harry Potter incident… (I lost friends over that… sigh)
I’ll probably open it back up again or something. I could just feel I wasn’t in the place for a reasonable discussion tonight.
But thank you for posting this.
I try not to subscribe to LJ drama, especially when its clashing opinions. I understand completely why you would be afraid of that, its childish and silly. One of my favorite quotes is still “Opinions are like assholes, we all have them and they all stink.”
LOL
Unfortunately, other friends on my list do love LJ Drama, and I so often keep my opinion to myself anymore because I don’t want to start anything.
Every now and again, my desire to share my thoughts wins out over my desire to not be central to other peoples drama 🙂
That is a lovely quote.
