Gas boycott day must be a failure, I just waited behind four cars for gas.
Update: My little 15 gallon, 300 miles on a tank car just cost me $44 to fill up. How can people actually buy SUVs?

When is it not a failure? How can they succeed when their promo message says:
“Make sure to fill up the day before so you can boycott gas tomorrow!”
Retarded.

I’m not even talking about how ineffective the boycott is in reality, I’m talking about how many freakin people there were at the pumps on a day that was supposed to be the big gas-out.

GODAMIT i hate SUVs. I don’t get it. I didn’t get it a year ago… or two. No one NEEDS them. They guzzle gas. They take up space, and are as ugly as shit.
*grrrrrrr*

Ok, how can yall be so against SUV’s when Trucks are just as bad if not WORSE guzzlers…. and some cars are just as bad… the miata, or the eclipse for instance gets 2 more miles per the gallon than my SUV does.
That and how do you know NO ONE needs em? I originally purchased mine to haul my horse… and since I was doing a lot of MOVING it made it easier and wouldnt take 6 cars to haul the same amount of stuff.
And the space, well all cars take up space… now a lot of the problem is people can’t drive. I dont think it matters what they drive if they can’t park btwn two lines, then they can’t park btwn two lines.
and Ugly… thats a preference… they obviously like how their car looks or they wouldn’t have purchased one.

Re: …
yours is at least a smaller, more efficient SUV… I think when people bitch about them, they’re more referring to things like the Armada, or the Hummer, or shit like that.
And yeah, heavy duty pickup trucks are pointless unless you work in construction or have some hobby that requires serious hauling power.
Thing is, most people don’t need what they buy, they buy it becasue its big and impressive.

Re: …
thats what i was going to say.
I know alot of people who want to buy them now, becuase other people have them, and they can’t see over them when they are driving. Or are scared of being hit in their little car by an SUV, so they go out and buy an SUV.
And no, im not making this shit up.
Yeah, some people need them. But not nearly as many people as those who buy them. While on the other hand, most people who own trucks, bought them because they needed them. Same as vans.
