I like this meme because I love how different and original all the Userpics are

“I love looking at people’s userpics, but I don’t always get them – I often wonder stuff like, ‘Who’s that guy?’ or ‘Where’s that quote from?’ but I tend not to ask, for various reasons. So come on, here are my icons. Pick one (or more!) you’re curious about, and I’ll try to explain it. Or at least explain what I like about it.”

Its Jake Gyllenhal in Donnie Darko.

He’s actually stabbing an invisible force field with a kitchen knife during a thunder storm. Oh, and there’s 1½ frames of a phyco bunny face.

If you haven’t seen the movie, you should. Everyone should. See the non-director’s cut first, its more artistic.

That is me and my dog Ia (pronounced EE-Ya). A couple years back the movement to have a dog park built in town finally got off the ground around the same time that I decided if there wasn’t already a movement, I would start one. I became pretty vocal and pro-active about the need for a dog park and was asked if I would be interviewed for the paper for an article about the future dog park.

They came out and talked to me and then sent out a photographer later. Ia and I had our picture taken and it was actually on the cover of the local paper. She was about two years old at the time and so excited to have someone else at the house, the only way I could get her to even be remotely still for the photo was to get her to kiss me.

it’s a welch name that we got off of some wierd name web site that has since disapeared. I know we chose it because of its definition, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was now, but its her name.

The dog park is still in the works, though the potential location has been changed. I’ve read recently (in yet another newspaper article in which I was quoted again) that it is supposed to be constructed this summer.

Mick Mannock is/was one of my characters on City of Heroes… my magic origin fire blaster. I wanted a WWI flying ace as a character so when I made him, I looked through some history web pages for not quite famous pilot.

Even though he was my third or fourth alt, he was quickly becoming my favorite character… both for ability and actual character.

I still have my account, it hasn’t expired yet. I haven’t uninstalled it from my computers, but I’ve not played it at all since I started WoW. I was actually on the verge of quitting even before I got WoW. I just got bored with it.

I guess I should make a WoW userpic.

I have to say that as much as I wanted to love the director’s cut, there are things that improve the movie, but more that destroy it. I’m glad I finally found my original copy. I’m not going to sell the Director’s Cut, but I’m sure as hell never selling my original either.

Cellar Door

Several

Ok, so what exactly are the three in the top right hand corner, looks like someone kissing someone else in PINK and PURPLE, the next over looks like a fence or miniblinds and the other is a corner or something. So why those?

PS I like 0 trans fat too.

Re: Several

Those three are from my days as a Photo Minor.

The first is from my Color Photography Class, it’s me curled up in a hole in the ground, then printed with reverse colors.

The second is from my Black and White II class, when I was studying the decomposition of architecture. It’s the fins on a building in Dallas that have started to erode and break away.

The third was actually taken while I was on vacation between photo classes and was still thinking photographically. I was taking pictures of someone out a dorm window and noticed the paint peeling up. I was just starting to develop my eye for architectural decomposition, so I changed over to macro focus and took a picture of the window sill.

And I chose them because they are some of my favorite photos that could still be translated into UserPics.
