So I did it. I succumbed to the urge and peer pressure. I bought my first MMORPG. I picked up City of Heroes this evening, but I haven’t played it yet. I figure, even if I get a month’s play out of it, it’s no different than playing a normal PC game and if I play it for longer, well, it’s better than buying two. Whatever. I was going to start tonight, but I don’t remember what server I’m supposed to get on, and my friends who play are not answering ICQ (why do people leave IMs connected if they’re not there to answer). That and it’s going to take another 15 minutes to even finish downloading the updates and I don’t know if I can make it that long just waiting.

Anyway, I guess I’ll start playing tomorrow. I’m thinking of making a scrapper named Badger or something lame like that. I dunno, I’m a bit short on ideas at the moment.

I’ve not started those. The main reason being my old computer sucked ass. Not to mention that one of my friends got a little caught up in EverCrack and when his semester GPA began with a point, he kinda left college after that.

City of Heroes, though, looks interesting. You’ll have to let me know how it is.

so far it downloads patches and updates great.

I’ve watched friends play it, and if it wasn’t so compelling watching, I wouldn’t have considered picking it up.

And lets just say I’m glad I don’t have to worry about GPAs anymore, because I’m the type to get a little obsessed from time to time.

I only have a year to go on the GPA front. It’s not as high as I’d like it to be (and it won’t get there), but at least it’s stable.

the game is whispering in my ear “you must get a new video card.”
