Presently, I have finished and turned in my five page paper, I have completed my professional project and my three one page papers and have them ready to turn in as soon as it stops raining, and I have written the first three and a half pages of my eight page paper.

I can see an end to it all. I swear next semester will be better organized. I hate feeling so pressured at the end of the semester. I kind of think “final projects” are too much of a burden.

Anyway, its finally Friday. We officially have two weeks left of the semester but everything I have is due next week. That includes the 5 page paper I finally got my informal interview for, and the 8 page research paper that I can’t honestly say I’ve researched nearly enough for.

Something happened over Spring Break and I lost all academic motivation. Now I’m really concerned that its going to be very bad for me to have done so. I know I’m a good writer and can probably pull some miraculously passable stuff out at the last minute, but I don’t feel good about it. I don’t want to slip back into my old Undergrad ways of doing the least work necessary. I started out the semester so strong, but I’m such a lazy bastard that everything for the second half of the semester has been procrastinated down to the last few days. I’ve even had this stressful feeling for a couple weeks now and even that hasn’t motivated me to work.

I know I will finish the semester, but I’m worried about how poorly I will do as a result of my laziness. I’m going to bust my ass this weekend and see what I can do in a miraculous sprint for the finish. Wish me luck and if you see me not in my house working on papers, kick my ass and tell me to get back to work (this of course is with the exception of the D&D game Saturday night. I need that to keep from going insane).

I haven’t posted any pictures in a while, I think photography takes all the picture taking out of me… here’s one I thought to take while walking from the third floor to the second at work.

Weather permitting, we will be having another outdoor Bollywood movie night this week. We will be watching Main Hoon Na. This is another great film staring our favorite Shahrukh Khan. This one is comedy, action, drama, love, musical – all that stuff. I’ve only seen clips, but from what I’ve seen, I’ve laughed my ass off. Come on out and bring friends!

Even if the weather does not cooperate, we will still watch the movie, but it will be inside. Keep an eye on the weather, bring your chairs and coolers, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Cheb Khaled – N’ssi N’sse

I guess I’ve been posting a lot of memes lately so I should at least do a brief update.

I have a critique on Thursday, I think I’m all shot for it, but now I have to do editing, processing, and printing.

I have an 8 page paper due a week from Thursday. I have yet to begin the research.

I have a 5 page paper due, well, two weeks ago, but due to my waiting to receive an email response for a semi-formal interview, I’ve been given an extension. I have all necessary notes taken, I am simply waiting on the responses to my questions.

I have two one page papers due in two weeks. I have done all the research, they take 45 minutes a piece to write.

I have a 10-15 minute presentation to prepare. This is based off of the 8 page paper, so really, its a no brainer.

I’m still working full time, so I have to do all this at the same time as my 40 hour a week work schedule.

I’ve been drinking a lot more lately. That’s probably not a good thing.

I’ve been falling asleep in front of the TV at 11:00 lately. That’s about an hour and a half earlier than normal and about an hour and a half later than I would if I was trying to do research.

We’re one disk away from finishing season 6 of Buffy. Best season so far, but it had the most depressing episode in it ever (Hell’s Bells).

We’re two disks away from finishing season 3 of Angel. Someone best be getting season 5 soon so we can borrow seasons 4 & 5.

I don’t hate my job as much as I have been lately, but I’ve not been working as hard at it either.
