Anticipation Overload

I’ve got so much stuff coming up in the next couple months, I’m starting to feel a little overwhelmed.

The baby is getting closer, and he’s getting SO MUCH BIGGER! Heather still doesn’t look huge to me. With all the baby shows she watches, and my attunement to other pregnant women, Heather is still petite for being pretty well seven months pregnant. The baby on the other hand, he rolls around in there and you can feel him like a cat in a pillowcase. He’ll do a summersault and you can just feel his whole body roll past you like some creature swimming by under the surface of a calm lake. With him being so much more real beneath the surface of Heather’s belly, I’m getting very excited about meeting him in person. Also, the fact that Connor and Ewan are getting so damned cute doesn’t hurt.

My brother and his wife are coming in to town in like three weeks. They’re going to be here for four days and we’ve got a whirlwind schedule planned for them. I think we’ve got something tentatively planned for every day. Its going to be crazy but it will be a blast.

That same weekend, as part of their whirlwind plan, we’ll be going to Craig and Laura’s Luau on Saturday; and then after we’ve recovered, we’ll be going to the Boys & Girls BBQ Baby Shower that Angela is hosting for us. I always look forward to the Luau, and now I’m doubly looking forward to the shower because we’ll have so many friends from different circles there, I always love that. Plus, there’s the gifts, but really, I’m more looking forward to the party.

And then, in the short term, I’ll be picking up Guitar Hero: 80’s Encore this afternoon. I don’t know why Guitar Hero has such an appeal to me, but I LOVES it and I’ve been needing some new songs.

And of course every time someone even whispers the words HeroScape, I get twitchy. I love that game a little bit too much, too.

This trimester she may just explode. That is what happened to me. I look like a pear on legs. I had no idea my gut could extend out so much.

I am at the point where my baby doesn’t move as much but hiccups for hours at a time. She will get to the point where it will feel like please stop and take a nap. No more Cirque De Soleil in my body.

The funniest thing is the firt time my husband felt the kicks He put his head on my stomach and got kicked in the face.
