K. Close III

this is a pretty nice one, above average for the series. it’s a great image to think of in the abstract, ignoring what its physical reality is and concentrating only on the interesting shapes, the variagated zones of lighting, and the deep, mellow browness of it. this is like an abstract painting, you could have easily printed it upsidedown and all the good qualities would still remain.

This was my second time to photograph this chair. I’m glad I took my time and really mulled over the first set.
