For some reason, this reminds me of a David Lynch film or “Requiem for a Dream”. I dunno why. Was just my first reaction.

there is no cropping, this was the original shot.

there was a touch of luck to it, though, as this is a self portrait. lets just say, I had a lot more that weren’t nearly as good.

as my photo instructors keep saying, just shoot more.
