Tiny puppies need foster home until they are of adoptable age!

If a temporary home cannot be found for them, they may end up being euthanized.

See Starryeyedart’s Post for more info (there are pictures!).

Update: her post is friends only, but I requested she make it public. For now, here’s a quote from the entry, but no pictures.

“…we found out that it’s $100 pet deposit per pet to keep them at the house (which is $1000) and [the owner] is impatient and stressed about finding them a new home so he’s thinking about bringing them to the pound even though THE POUND SAID THEY WOULD EUTHANIZE ALL OUR DOGS. i am so sickened by this. i’m wracking my brain trying to find places that will take them, but “no-kill” shelters usually have waiting lists and its hard to get someone to take a mom with 9 puppies.

“IF ANYONE KNOWS SOMEONE IN TEXAS WHO WOULD TAKE THEM ALL UNTIL THE PUPPIES ARE LARGE ENOUGH TO BE ADOPTED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. i’ll even drive them to a different part of the state if that’s what it takes. i’m going to continue to call shelters, but i will take any shelter recommendations anyone has.”

She left contact infor as well, but if you can help, contact me and I’ll pass you on to her.

Im asking my partner if he would be willing to foster them for a while, since I have been in this EXACT situation before.

My question is, would she be able to help with vet and/or food and finding them homes with us if we did it? Money really is the only obstacle right now, well…besides getting the ok from J.

Upside is, puppies go VERY fast at pounds. I had to give up the last two of our litter to the Houston SPCA and they were adopted two days later. The woman consoled us and let us know that puppies have a higher adoption rate than adult dogs.

But still yeah, it is a total ache on the heart to even think of taking them to a pound.

lemme know 🙂
