So while I was playing KOTORII the other day, my XboX started crashing, locking up, freezing, failing to load, all kinds of shitty stuff. I started to think I wasn’t going to be able to finish the game. I then realized that in all the time I’ve had the thing, I’ve never not seen “50,000+ Blocks Free” quoted for the remaining hard drive space, but when I was playing, I noticed I was actually at about “24,00 Blocks Free.” Admittedly, I had almost 100 save games for KOTORII (I was trying to not overwrite too many save games so I could go back and do things differently). Each game was taking up about 1,500 “Blocks.”

I deleted enough save spots to get myself back up to 50,000+ and everything seems to be running smooth again.

Stupid Xbox. And no, I’m not done yet, but its looking like I should finish within the week.

I’ve tried doing that before, but, I learned eventually that you never go back despite the best intentions, it’s often more fun to just start off again later and enjoy it over.

although, considering the problems you describe where what was happening to my xbox before I “upgraded” to a newer model, I wonder if that is my problem to. Might dust it out so i can try that, play some of the games that are only on it.

I didn’t do it so much so I could go back and start again from an earlier point, but more so if I realized that some decision along the way totally fucked the game, I could always go back…

oh, that and because in all the time that I’ve had the Xbox, I’ve never seen anything but 50,000+ blocks and I figured, I could just save all I wanted and see what happened. Now I know.
