It’s cool, but they can’t expect everyone to have flash and such…
that’s definitely one thought that has gone through my mind every day.
I suggest staying away from Iframes for a professional/school page. If someone wants to bookmark a certain page then they can’t. The site makes for an interesting and clever design, but for it’s purpose it’s too flashy.
Mind you, that’s just my one-minute opinion.
I agree, stay away from the frames… also the text is VERY small…
that and the paint splotches look like blood.
Beyond the bloody drops (just turn them purple and green…) and the flash thing, there is only one thing I noticed. It is beautifully put together with no straight obvious lines within the box, but there is that lovely scrollbar with it’s evil straight lines and 90 degree angles in the middle of what would otherwise be a really awesome thing. I don’t complain about flash because I am on a Mac and have no problem. I wouldn’t have complained about the drops until I read someone else’s comment on it being like blood and now it’s stuck in my head.
well, technically there aren’t “frames.” it’s just a flash movie centered on the page… but either way, you’re not the first person to comment on the fact that its not using the whole screen.
Eww! When I reloaded the page just now, I saw a picture of one of my ex-TAs. I hate that guy! Fuck him! Name withheld, of course.
Maybe they could make an HTML version? I don’t know how I feel about Javascript these days, though.
there’s supposed to be a text only version at least for people who need screen readers and such like that, but I certainly haven’t seen it.
I think it looks really good though… fun and creative.
