Eeeeeeeeh. My job is awesome but right now I’m going through a little lull in actually remembering that. This does a good job of reminding me.
yup. I’ve been unusually happy at my job lately… then again, I’ve been exceptionally lazy and non-productive. I wonder if the two have anything to do with eachother?
*laugh* I like your take. I haven’t been lazy, but I have been nonproductive. That’s pretty much what teaching English here is: settling for never being productive. I can do it for a little while because, damn, I love these kids… but I’m for sure not going to find any kind of long-term satisfaction teaching kids how to say “pizza” and “hamburger,” which is pretty much what my job is about. Deborah-sensei is what I’m called, sometimes, but it’s really pretty much Deborah-gameleader. Fun for the time being, but I’m already itching for something a little more, mm, heady. One where I might complain about the hours at the office and stuff like that, and have to work, but I won’t be condemned for thinking. :p
