I was trying to read my friends page, but I’m distracted by this file that one of our students can’t print. People think I run the lab, but don’t care about the finer details. I’m completely consumed by trying to think of what the problem keeping him from being able to print is.
Take that nay-sayers.
Update: I may have found the solution to his problem. He’s testing it out now but I’m keeping the Illustrator forums up just in case. I browsed a little more, but the one article I found sounded like it matched his situation fairly closely.
Remember kids, Illustrator CS can only handle 28 spot colors in addition to the standard CMYK sets, so if you’re using pantone colors, you cannot define more than 28 additional colors in a single document.

Yeah, Illustrator CS users, don’t you know anything?
well, I just learned that fact this morning as well when researching his problem. I’m glad I stumbled across it.
28?!?
Wow… what kind of project could it be? Certainly not anything that will actually ever be printed. 🙂
Re: 28?!?
28 spot colors is not that unusual. Though most could be mimiced with CMYK tones.
