I know we’ve watched bad movies before, but this is one is my ultimate guilty pleasure. Long before Danny Elfman wrote the score for popular movies such as Batman (the Tim Burton version), Wanted, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, he was in a little band called Oingo Boingo. As you may not be aware, Oingo Boingo was originally known as The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boing and they were a kind of vaudvillean music act led by Danny’s older brother Richard Elfman. When Danny moved on to music, Richard moved on to movies and this was his first. It’s more or less a Mystic Knights movie.

I’ll warn you all up front, it’s bad. It’s really bad. But it’s also hillarious, and confusing, and totally WTF. We’ll be starting this movie at 8:46 and look forward to your enthusiastic participation. And to tide you over, here’s the original trailer for your viewing pleasure:
