I feel like I’ve been neglecting Livejournal lately. I’ve been reading the crap out of it, but I havne’t been replying or posting that much. To anyone who’s missed my activity, I’m sorry. I’ll try to do better. To people who are glad I’ve been so inactive lately, fuck you, I don’t care anyway.

Why is it that when your backspace key is starting to wear out, you find yourself needing it more and more. Fuck.

Just saw Stark Raving Mad, kind of makes me want to go clubbing which I haven’t done in a while and am starting to feel way too old to do. I don’t want to be the creepy guy at the dance club, and I don’t want to feel obligated to dance. I just like DJ mixes and dance music. I want to sit in a dark corner with a drink and my wife cuddled up next to me in something insatiably cute/sexy and feel the music reverberate in the hairs on my body. Is that too much to ask? Unfortunately, not only am I usually not very comfortable in clubs, but they’re too fucking expensive, and my wife doesn’t really like them that much, she doesn’t like the music that loud. I like the atmosphere and the attitude that a club gives, I’m not really in it for the dancing. Well, the attitude and the peoplewatching.

Anyway, it was a good movie anyway, but it did make me miss the pulse of music that’s just a bit too loud to hear yourself talking even.

We were supposed to have a Spycraft game tonight; but instead, since corwin75Steve pussed out, we sat around, played some Champions of Norrath and just had a lazy evening. It wasn’t too bad, but I have to say, I was definitely more in the mood for RoboRally than CoN, but I couldn’t quite convince a bunch of people who had never played it.

I want to do more with my moBlog too, but it’s kind of a pain to post to lately… I try to send photos by email, but they never show up so I have to post them through the web site which kind of defeats the purpose. I’m not sure what people really want to see either. I don’t really go anywhere and I don’t really do anything remarkable. I mean, I go to work, I work out, I ride my bike, I watch movies and I sleep. Occasionally I play games, but there’s just not as much to take pictures of lately. I dunno. I’m gonna have to try to look at the world a little differently I think. That and figure out why I can’t seem to upload via email. I’m going to try to email another photo and see if it works this time.

Well, it’s getting kind of late and I’m not really talking about anything I guess. It’s looking like I don’t have to run that RPGA game tomorrow morning so I’ll have more free time. Probably start painting the office walls and maybe the mini I bought for the Eberron game. Who knows. I might go to the rec center as well, but it’s definitely wierder to go on a day by myself than with someone. I mean, corwin75Steve and I were talking about this the other day. We don’t really do anything together or even chat once we get there, but it’s the act of simply going together that makes it count. You’re accountable to someone to at least show up. They are there with you and know that you’re sticking to your routine and your word.

Whatayaknow… the image post actually fucking worked.

Oh yeah, and the whole time I’ve been writing this, I’ve been realizing how incredibly cool this new Full Throttle userpic is. I surprise myself some days. BTW, I finished the game this afternoon. Games today are longer, but this one was still cooler than most. I’m out.

God I’m bored and lonely right now. I don’t have anything that I want to do and I can’t seem to find any way to entertain myself. In the dorms, this is when I would go down to the lobby just to see what was going on, but now all I can do is go to another part of the house where there’s different stuff to possibly distract myself with. I’ve been pretty quiet on Livejournal lately as I’ve been really productive at work, but at the same time, I’ve been kind of discouraged by it lately because it seems like most of the people on my friends list are similarly quiet and busy.

I tried to play a game on the PS2 a few minutes ago, but the batteries in the cordless controller were dead, so I took it as a sign that I wasn’t supposed to play. I was tempted to play some Diablo II on the computer, when I remembered that my characters are on my portable hard drive. I’m pretty sure they’re not on the computer anymore, so they may be lost for good. A side note to the hard drive dilema, norelenCraig had a suggestion on how to maybe get it going, if only long enough to get the data off of it, but I’m still nervous to try it. It’s not as extreme as ripping the guts out and trying to physically rebuild a drive, but it’s pretty harsh and if there were a way to salvage the drive any other way, this would probably trash it.

Anyway. I’ve been consistent with working out, only skipped one day so far and I rode 4 miles the day before because I knew I wasn’t going to make it to the Rec Center that day. I tried out the rowing machine today and if it weren’t for the fact that I got pretty dehydrated around 6 minutes, I think I could probably have gone for twice as long. Maybe more. I did 10 minutes on it since I’d never done it before and really enjoyed it. It was a good cardio and at the same time, it did some really nice arm and shoulder work. Really nice contrast to biking which focuses on the legs. So it’s looking like I’m going to do an upper body workout with a bike ride on Tues/Thurs and a lower body (including abs, and a bonus tricep workout since they’re hindering my chest excersizes) with rowing on Wed and Sat/Sun. I’m still considering going five times a week, but I don’t know what I’ll do with that fifth day if I do go. I’m thinking I might do one set on everything, but I’m not sure if that will really help me at all.

Nick’s going to loan me his Camel Pack for when I’m biking so I can carry water with me and don’t have to slow or stop to get a drink. We’ll see how it goes if he remembers to bring it up tomorrow. I don’t know if it’s going to make that much of a difference since I’m only going 3.5 miles, but I sure think it would be nice. I also realized today, I really am going to have to get another backpack for workout days. My duffel that I’ve been using, that I got for free from some promotion, is about to fall apart. And aside from the two weeks I’ve been carrying it to the Rec Center, I’ve only ever used it twice. I guess I got what I paid for.

Oh well, I’m going to stare blankly at my games and see if there’s something that sounds entertaining to me. Ta-Ta for now.

Well, I’m completely recoding the menus for the SOVA web site. It’s taking a lot of work and experimentation, but I have to say, PVII pretty much kicks ass in free dreamweaver plugins. I should never have doubted them.

Even though I got discouraged in each week I entered, I’m still gonna support the group, so if you like 24 and you like making LJ Userpics, please check out 24_contest. Hell, if enough of us get involved, maybe the same old crap won’t win every week.

I really don’t have anything to say, but I wanted to make a post while this track was playing just so it’d show up in my “Current Music” heading.

Oh, and the ReplayTV web interface is cool. Yeah, thats really what I wanted to say.

We got our copy of Along Came Polly from Netflix on like Saturday or Friday or something, but didn’t get around to trying to watch it until last night. Turns out, that fucker was scratched so badly, the DVD player wouldn’t even recognize it past the FBI warning (so we got to watch that like 5 times between cleaning and polishing). This is the first movie we’ve had to return unwatched, well, except for Hapenstance which we had already seen and I forgot and put it on the queue anyway.

So yeah, we didn’t get to do exactly what we wanted to last night, but one thing we did do was completely clear off the ReplayTV unit. I mean we either watched or deleted EVERYTHING. It was wierd, we haven’t really done that since the first week that we had it. I’m still finding other things to add to the program though. For example, this past week I had so much fun watching I Love the 90’s, that I put Best Week Ever on there. I also put Charmed on there so maybe we can get back into the show, we used to watch the crap out of it, but for the last season or so, we’ve just been missing it. No more.

We’ve also been watching The Dead Zone lately and have found it to be a much better show than we had originally anticipated. I mean, I always suspected that I’d enjoy it, but was never 100% certain. So on a whim I added it to the program and we’ve been watching it, enjoyably, ever since. If you have any suggestions of things you think I might be pleasantly surprised with, feel free to let me know.

This is our list of ‘Channels’ right now

Does anyone want to drive to Washington and go to the first annual PAX? I would love to go, but I don’t think I could make the drive alone. I can fit four people in my car, so I’m taking offers.

Note: this is a pipe dream, so unless you’re serious and fairly convincing, it probably won’t happen, but stranger things have happened.
