Money, Its A Gas…

… in which I talk about earning and spending.
As those of you who follow my LiveJournal know, I finally bought my Xbox 360. This is something I’ve had the money for and talked myself out of buying no fewer than five times in the past. It’s probably best that I did, because it definitely ended up costing me more than the sticker price (new game systems always do; you gotta have some games, a controller, and all kinds of other excessories). Now don’t get me wrong, as I’ve stated previously, I love my video games, and since buying the 360, I haven’t regretted it once. › Continue reading

…in which I quote someone else’s blog and agree with them.
I was reading Subtraction, which is a blog I stumbled across not too long ago by some manner and he wrote an entry that spoke on the regularity and content of his blogging. It described very closely, my thoughts and opinions on blogging, so rather than take the time to try to write an original comment that says pretty much the same thing, I figure I’ll do the best thing and just quote it here. › Continue reading

…in which I talk about my amazing adventures in Houston and surrounding areas. (its gonna be a long one)
FotoFest. Yes, FotoFest. A two month, biannual festival dedicated to photography that takes over the entire city of Houston. As a burgeoning photographer, and MFA student in the same subject, I am highly encouraged to go every two years to this event. Between the unwieldy cost, and the fact that I do not yet feel like my work is ready to show, I have not taken advantage of The Meeting Place, but this year, our faculty were able to set up an incredible opportunity. This opportunity was both a blessing and a curse, however, to my Houston adventure. › Continue reading

I hope to very soon write up a post about the most amazing adventures I had this past weekend. I’m just so busy right now, I can’t seem to catch a break.

…in which I talk about Great Grandparents and Babies.
This past weekend, of which this is still the last day of, we traveled north to Memphis (or more specifically, West Memphis) to visit family. My grandparents live there with my aunt, and my parents and brother had all come out for some birthday celebrations. My mother has just turned 60 and my grandfather has just turned 84. Its not a long drive up there, comparatively; only seven hours. › Continue reading
