Pictures from this weekend

I have a camera on my new Clié, so now I can start posting photos that are only mildly more entertaining than my just writing text.

Heather’s Cat Tashi has gotten more and more snuggly. She seems to want to keep her face as close to Heather’s as possible, it’s really cute, but sometimes, like when Heather’s eating, somewhat annoying. Also, when Tashi has “poop breath,” it’s just kind of gross.
A lot of people may not know this, but I get a kick out of making mundane things special. I like finding reasons to have special occasions, so when I make my coffee and have the time to do so, I like to dress it up like I went to Starbucks, even if I didn’t. Here’s my coffee from saturday morning with whipped cream, caramel syrup and nutmeg. MmmmmMm.
The kitties use enjoy every last inch of sunshine that comes into the house. They’re pretty cute, aren’t they.
My finger’s getting a lot better. It’s almost completely healed and I’m starting to get feeling back. I can type and poke and all kinds of stuff. I still keep a band-aid on it though, just for safety, this was while I was changing the bandage and cleaning it up again. I think it’ll be fine.
Heather and I were waiting for the oscars to come on so I snapped a quick photo. My tongue is sticking out ala Charlie Brown thinking because this bitch is a pain to point at yourself and shoot. I think I got it pretty well centered, now if I only had shaved, kept my tongue in my mouth and had less neck under my chin.
Nur was sooo happy when Tem came to sit with her. Asgar had been hopping up and visiting us and she commented that Asgar didn’t like her, only Tem, and as if on cue, Tem hopped up in her lap.
We wanted to snap a photo of Ia, too. Nur closed her eyes, but Ia was at least paying attention.
I bought a LOT of new socks the other week, so now I’m retiring any that look like this. I was short of socks before, so I was forced to wear socks like this for a long time, but now I have TONS. Oh, and GOLD TOE SOCKS ROCK MY FEET!

We had a pretty good weekend. With our money issues being resolved both Friday and Saturday (Tax Return Friday, paychecks EARLY on Satruday), and the computer being fixed, I was in a much better mood. My finger’s healing and the cold is finally in recession. Saturday, sheesh, what did I do Saturday? We watched Dickie Robberts in the morning, it was hillarious, funny as shit. The scene where the get 27 ex-child actors together to do a “We are the World” type video where they all bitch about being child stars was worth the price of admission alone (or the rental fee, you know what I mean). Seems like after that I spent a lot of time on the computer, since it was working again. Surfing, installing software, reading LJ, shit like that. I really don’t remember. I think I was just excited that things were getting back to normal again.

Sunday we watched Scorched in the morning, which was a random comedy that Heather picked up about three bank roberies in the same bank on the same night. It was pretty damn funny, too. There was one character that was completely obsessed with D&D and would have daydreams about being her D&D character in real life and taking out vengeance upon those who scorned her. It was a pretty minor point in the movie, but it pushed my buttons, if you know what I mean (it didn’t hurt that it was Rachel Leigh Cook, Mmmm, My brain on drugs). Then I played some Champions of Norrath, finished it even, just in time to watch the Oscars. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King only really took one award I didn’t think it deserved – Best Song. I mean, nothing against Annie Lennox, Howard Shore or LOTR in general, but that song was ass. I’d have rather seen any other song win than that. I felt it was definitely the worst of the five contenders. Oh, and surely someday, Danny Elfman will pick up his Oscar, or at least show and sit there like a gentleman.

Yup, all in all, a good weekend. Hopefully the week follows suit.

Re: Some points.

Your kittie looks loo much like our Tem. They could be twins!

We actually have a third cat, but he’s camera shy. I’ll see if I can corner him with the camera tonight.
