I went to the bathroom and one of the toilets was missing. I mean the whole thing was gone, including the floor and wall around it. What does it say about me when the first thing I think is “I hope they don’t try to take the other one while I’m using it.”

I ran Isles of Woe again Saturday. That’s two times now and I have to say it isn’t as strenuous as some people make it out to be. I think Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil really prepared me for these twelve plus hour sessions. It was an interesting adventure full of death and money. I still feel weird about some of the things that happened, but everyone seemed to have a good time in the end. They maxed out gold and xp by a wide margin and were one of the few groups I’ve heard of that were able to get to the end.

Afterwards, still pumped on D&D, I went and bought Temple of Elemental Evil for PC, which is actually Return… but hey, if you called it that, people who didn’t know would wonder where the first part was. It’s turned out to be a pretty good game. It’s not quite BioWare quality, but they’ve really done some good things with the game. Being able to ready attacks and make clear 5 foot adjusts really bumps the ability to strategize.

I finished up my part of the laundry room yesterday. All I had left was to screw the countertop to the cabinets, mount the outlets in the backsplash, and change out all the other outlets in the room. It didn’t take too long, but in the end I realized I could have used longer screws for the countertop and I learned that a GFCI outlet won’t work if it’s wired backwards it will actually protect all other outlets after it on the circuit. Good stuff to know. That means we were able to return one of the two $12 GFCI outlets and replace it with a $1 plain black outlet. Nice.

All in all this has been a pretty good weekend. With everything else, we still had a chance to watch Bulletproof Monk and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Bulletproof Monk wasn’t bad, in fact it was pretty good up until the last 10 minutes when it tried to get serious and romantic. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was really good all around and it makes me wonder how much of it was true. It was actually based on a book my Chuck Barris, but still, he was kind of a goofball, so he could have made it all up. The book was dubbed as an “Unauthorized Autobiography.”
